Macintosh computers are always besting poor old PC in those cheeky online commercials. However, for Mac gamers, it is a much different story. Trying to play Mac internet poker can be a frustrating challenge, but things are changing now thanks to Titan Poker Mac.
Mac players often find themselves struggling against online obstacles such as graphics overload. This seems strange, considering that Macs developed the 1st graphical user interface and are the preferable choice of professional graphic and web designers everywhere. The problem is downloading Java script. This means that Mac poker players are limited to playing online games using a browser based version of either Java or Flash.
Another big obstacle is file type conflict, a real hair-puller. Most Titan Poker Downloads are based on.exe files known as “executables.” This file type was specifically created for the Microsoft Windows operating system. Thankfully online casino have twigged to this inequity and are now providing a.bin file that is directly readable on the Macintosh OS.
Truly, Mac users are being overlooked by most poker sites with the exception of PokerRoom. These sites are beginning to realize that they’re missing a gold mine in the number of Mac users who’d love to play poker online for real cash. That’s why they’re starting to include Mac options on their websites.
Consequently it’s awesome to see Titan Poker Mac coming onto the field. The new Mac-compatible gaming site is part of the Playtech line of online poker rooms. It sports an appealing red-white-and-blue color scheme. Titan Poker Mac also makes use of some awesome 3D graphics, including letting players pick online “avatars”, or figures to represent them at the poker tables. Luckily, the perspective on the graphics is adjusted so that the cards appear on the poker table much bigger than they would be in real life. That is a great help in online play.
Other reviewers have raved about Titan Poker.com’s topnotch 24/7 customer service and level of play. Unfortunately, we were unable to test that for ourselves because the website is not open to American players. Without being able to set up an account, it’s not possible for American Mac users to try their hands at this impressive new online poker game.
Titan Poker Mac offers Texas hold’em, Omaha, and Omaha hi lo, but lacks Seven Card Stud, a surprising omission. College students really like this website because it offers a special student rate. This online gaming site would be real fun for U.S. College students – if only they could get at it!
